Human ambition. Mechanical possibility.
Ultimate Mech Fighting Championship is BrentCorp’s vision for human-piloted mech combat: a meeting of sport, engineering and live entertainment. Our flagship project gives builders a challenge, audiences a spectacle, and ambitious ideas a reason to become real machines.

BrentCorp is developing the UMFC concept, competition framework and engineering direction. The next steps are to develop and test prototypes, evaluate pilot safety, and demonstrate the competition experience.
The artwork on this page illustrates our long-term vision for the machines, facilities and events.
THE PROJECT
UMFC is BrentCorp's concept for a combat sport built around human-piloted fighting machines. Its roots run through powered armor, exoskeletons and human-scale mechs, with competition designed to reward pilot skill, engineering choices, repair strategy, mobility and machine identity.
The long-term vision is deliberately accessible: a sport that mechanics, welders, robotics clubs, schools, small teams and groups of friends can aspire to enter.

Human skill, strategy and competition.

Real machines solving real problems.

Machines with identity, spectacle and story.

Designed around broader participation.

Ideas with value beyond the arena.
ORIGIN / 2017
In 2017, Brent Salmon and his brother started with a question: what if an Olympics-style competition welcomed performance enhancement through cybernetic prostheses, powered armor and human-machine integration?
The idea evolved toward a fighting arena centered on powered armor, then expanded into multiple machine configurations, divisions, augmented-reality concepts and a much larger vision for a new sport.
That early project was called MechAtomics. As the league concept grew beyond the original name, it became the Ultimate Mech Fighting Championship.

THE PROVING GROUND
Competition gives engineering a deadline, a scoreboard and consequences. UMFC is intended to create practical pressure to improve mobility, controls, repairability, sensing, fabrication, safety systems and human-machine interfaces.
BrentCorp's broader ambition is to carry useful lessons outward into exoskeletons, prosthetics, assistive systems, fabrication methods and other real-world applications. The arena becomes a public proving ground for ideas worth pursuing.
Build something people want to watch. Learn something worth carrying home.
BRENTCORP'S UMFC TEAM
MechAtomics is BrentCorp’s UMFC team. It carries the name at the root of the entire project, preserving the identity of the original idea within the championship it inspired.
The ambition is to take part in the same challenge we are creating for others: design, build, test, learn and return with a better machine. MechAtomics gives BrentCorp a direct stake in that process.

WHY IT MATTERS
UMFC sits at the intersection of the things BrentCorp wants to build: engineering, entertainment, experimentation, media, manufacturing, community and real-world impact. That combination is why we call it the crown jewel.
It can be a sport people follow, a challenge builders want to solve, a stage for distinctive machines and personalities, and a reason to push useful technologies further.

THE ROAD AHEAD
FROM ARENA TO WORLD
The long-term UMFC vision reaches beyond individual fights. BrentCorp sees potential for live competition, media, builder communities, educational opportunities, partnerships, merchandise, games, immersive viewing and technologies that find lives of their own outside the arena.
Those ambitions remain a roadmap. The immediate work is simpler and harder: prove the machines, prove the experience, and keep building.
